Maserati GranTurismo S
This is the new Maserati GranTurismo S, the bigger brother of the standard GranTurismo.
The “S” version of the GranTurismo is Maserati’s response to the criticism that the standard model lacked a bit of “poke” - as they say. So the new variant has had an engine upgrade from the standard 4.2L V8 to the 4.7L engine that the Alfa 8C has. Power is increased from 405bhp to 444bhp and torque is up from 339lb ft to 362 lb ft. Mind you, the price has increased to £89,990 - a premium of £11,000 from the standard model.
As well as the engine upgrades the car now sits on exclusive 20″ wheels, modified sideskirts, black-backed headlights and a boot spoiler.
But is it worth it? By all accounts yes, we can’t wait to see it (and hear it) in the flesh when it hits the showrooms in the next month or so!
